Electronic Collection of Air Transportation Statistics

Electronic Collection of Air Transportation Statistics (ECATS) is a joint government-industry initiative to reduce data reporting costs for airlines serving Canada and to improve the timeliness of available air transportation statistics for policy decision-making purposes.

Working with Skyservice's IT Department and Transport Canada, Sheer Vision designed and developed an application to support the ECATS effort. This application will be used by Skyservice Airlines, CanJet, WestJet, and numerous other airlines across Canada.

PNR Data Transfer

The PNR Data Transfer application allows Skyservice Airlines to retrieve XML-based data from a tour operator URL's (HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP) and then place it into a Microsoft SQL Server database for later querying/report generation, data integration, etc.  It runs fully automated and will notify (via e-mail) if problems arise.  

The application is designed with flexibility in mind, from the database connection parameters to the URL itself, all parameters are configurable.
